The fire hasn't died down as yet and people are still talking about Kannada star Darshan's wife dragging Nikitha and blaming her for the marital discord. Sounding tired the actor who worked in quite a few Telugu movies says that she is shocked to hear stories about her attempting suicide.
"I'm not such a weak person and I would never do such a thing. Just because I'm not taking to the Press it doesn't mean they can weave such things. I was emotionally drained, physically tired and the doctor asked me to just sleep and assured me everything will fall in place. I can't understand why out of all the people I'm being pulled into this. Surprisingly I'm doing this project second time with the same director and none linked me up with him, why the hero then?"
Nikitha pleads to be spared as she is an unmarried girl and has a career going well. Acting is the only job she knows and would be clueless if she were to be banned for three years for no fault of hers.
She remarks, "His wife Vijayalakshmi is quite friendly with me, I don't understand why she had to do this. I hear of some 20 crore settlement, wonder what the dispute was? Producer Sandesh Nagaraj even asked, now that husband and wife got together why I was being banned. I'm overwhelmed with the support I got from different quarters from Rajkumar's family, the artistes, fans but I would be lying If I'd say I wasn't disturbed. I was devastated." Nikitha informs that the incident has become an international issue and BBC and some other channel wanted to speak to her. She had someone calling from Mumbai to tell that Javed Akhtar and Shabana wanted to speak to her.
She adds, "They wanted my nine years of hard work to go in the drain. This is a big project for the industry and for me too. I've ten more days of shoot left. The best part was I got to know all about the ban from the media. Just imagine you going to work as usual one fine morning and being informed that you've been sacked for three years for no fault of yours. It's quite absurd to even discuss personal stuff in work environment and here."
